Book and Discussion Groups

Tuesday Morning Book Group

10 to 11 am Tuesday mornings.  During April we will wind up our discussion on “Grounded” by Diana Butler Bass.  In May we start our new book: "The Art of Neighboring: Building Genuine Relationships Right Outside Your Door."  Want to join the discussion, come and try it out or contact Julie for a copy of the book.

Join us any time! If you have any questions please contact Rev. Julie at or 414-352-6123.

Ever look back and wish you could go back over some of that base information you learned (or wish you would have learned) at Confirmation?  Now’s your chance!  As we move towards our Confirmation celebrations for our Confirmation students on May 22, adult members of the church will be given a chance to participate in RE-Confirmed – Wednesdays at 7:00pm.

Starting April 6, participants will be encouraged to reflect upon the very core tenets of their understanding of Scripture, our Triune God, worship, the Church and Christian living.  For the final session, participants will be encouraged to join with this year’s Confirmation students for food, fellowship, and their ‘Confirmation Exam’ on Wednesday, May 18.

Friday Morning Book Group

The Friday Men’s Discussion Group would like to invite all interested men to join them for an hour of fellowship and discussion every Friday morning. We are currently reading and discussing “They Found the Secret” by Raymond Edman. In this book the author presents the lives of twenty well-known and little-known Christians focusing on what the author calls "a pattern that leads from desperation to the abundant life Jesus promised." This theme is seen in short biographies of men and women including John Bunyan, Amy Carmichael, Oswald Chambers, Charles Finney, Dwight L. Moody, and Andrew Murray. We meet at 6:45 AM at the Family Table restaurant, 6598 W Brown Deer Rd, Brown Deer WI, 53223, and we are done by 8. We know that not everyone can make it every week. We are blessed, and we believe you will be blessed, whenever you can come.

Please join us for breakfast and joy-filled spiritual food. Contact Mark Swartwout — if you have any questions.
